MOBILedit! couldn't find your phone with the Advanced Detection Process. Please check these tips and look at the Online User Guide which includes instructional videos.
  1. Make sure your phone is supported!
    The list of supported phones can be found here. Use only supported connection types.

  2. Are you connecting a smartphone?
    Smartphones like Android, iPhone or Symbian have a different interface and most models require installation of a small application that allows communication with the device. Please follow the detailed guides according to your phone operating system:

  3. Update the driver of your cable or Bluetooth stack
    The majority of connection problems are because of wrong or missing drivers. Please check that your driver is both up to date and correctly installed. You can download it from a phone manufacturer site or here.

  4. Kill all other applications that may be using USB or Bluetooth ports
    Some PC suites run in the background of your system. We recommend using task manager to check running processes.

  5. Try another type of connection
    Some phones cannot be connected via cable, but connection via Bluetooth is supported (and vice versa). Find your phone here to determine if this is the case.

  6. Try to pair your phone using Windows Bluetooth Wizard
    After you pair and establish Bluetooth connection in Windows, just run MOBILedit! and it will immediately find the phone. If you are unable to pair your phone with Windows, then you know MOBILedit! is not at fault.

  7. Try MOBILedit! with your phone on another computer
    Some rare combinations of computer software installed on a PC can block communication between a phone and MOBILedit! This step will determine if this is the case.
